                    Principal's Message

Welcome to our family! At Belton Preparatory Academy, your child is valued and celebrated. We believe that every child is “created for greatness” and consider it a privilege to “position” each student for “success.”

Belton Preparatory Academy provides a unique public educational experience, the first of its kind in South Carolina. At BPA, students experience a solid educational base through a challenging classical curriculum with an entrepreneurial focus. Our classical curriculum provides high-quality instruction in phonics, Latin, logic, literature, history, math, and science (STEM), while our entrepreneurial and free market competition component emphasizes the development of leadership qualities and learning behaviors such as taking positive risks, viewing errors as opportunities, working to recover from a mistake, giving and receiving feedback, asking questions, collaborating with peers, setting goals, planning with a purpose, and tracking personal progress. There is no better place for students to experience rigorous academia and spirited competition than within the safe and nurturing environment of our school.

At BPA, we believe that character development is just as important as academic progress. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: “We must remember that intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education.”Developing academically sound students who demonstrate virtue, character, and integrity as they compete in a global society is our ultimate goal and hope for all mankind.

At BPA, we place a high value on our partnerships with parents, families, and community. We invite you to actively participate in your child’s learning adventure and character development. Modeling for them on a daily basis a love for learning and the importance of practicing the Golden Rule will give them an advantage uncommon to many children in today’s society. Together, we can mold and shape the minds and behaviors of our students so they will be competitive, compassionate, and, ultimately, productive in all things. We look forward to working with you and are honored that you have chosen to join our BPA family!
