Board Reports and Updates

Registration/Enrollment

Total of 137 students currently enrolled in the 2020-2021 academic year. Two students 

SCDE Teacher Survey

Science and Social Studies standards were reviewed over the summer. Books were ordered from the state depository to meet those standards. 

PADEPP

Program for Assisting, Developing, and Evaluating Principal Performance (PADEPP) Principal’s Summative Evaluation Form- Deirdre McCullough was evaluated by Mary Thomason on 9 Performance Standards. 

2020-2021 Updated School Calendar

Back to school parade tomorrow beginning at 6:30 pm. Board Members are invited to attend. Parents 

Cleaning Services Contract (Action) 

Three bids were obtained for cleaning services being funded by the CARES Act. Motion to approve Stratus cleaning services made by Angie King; Magon Wilson 2nd. Motion carries.  

LWS Charter Institute Award

Deirdre McCullough was awarded first place with the Lets Work Smart for the 2019-2020 school year.

Miscellaneous from the Board

Deidre McCullough discussed a partition between seats to allow for talk time between the kids. Talk time is an essential component of Core Knowledge. The Board discussed the pros and cons of the partitions. Motion made to approve the use of the partitions made by Angie King; Magon Wilson 2nd. Motion carries unanimous.
