Secretary DeVos’ Visit- US Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, US Deputy Secretary Mick Zais, and SC Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman had a wonderful visit at BPA on October 27.
Title I Allocation- Focus of the plans are to address the middle performance student. There is a plan in place for the lower performing students. The curriculum sufficiently challenges the higher performing student. Two Interventionist would be needed during the school day to help with reading and other learning needs.
Title II Allocation- Funding is for Professional Development. Mrs. McCullough polled the faculty’s needs. Diane Hamilton will visit BPA and evaluate each classroom to ensure teachers are implementing CKLA appropriately.
CRF Allocation (Coronavirus Relief Fund)- Originally the CARES Act, the funding was used to fund the afterschool program.
IDEA Allocation and Approved Plan- Speech Language Pathologist services will be covered within the funding.
CARES Act Approved Amendment- First round of CARES Act was used primarily on custodial services. Remaining fund were allocated for postage, and chrome book bags.
Open Enrollment- Currently there are 24 K5 students registered for the 2021-2022 academic year. BPA will begin advertising for the 2021-2022 academic year soon.
