Second Grade Assessment

Second-grade students will take the CoGAT assessment on October 12, 13, 14. CoGAT is a multiple-choice assessment that measures reasoning skills with different types of verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal questions. The Iowa assessment for second grade will be administered October 20 & 21. This assessment is a group-administered test, which measures a student’s knowledge in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. These assessments are used to identify students for the gifted and talented program.
